The Ceriatone British Style Plexi50 Lead is our take what is likely the most famous and widely-used design in rock music.
The Plexi50 is a 50W little brother to it’s more famous 100W counterpart. While similar tones are available, it’s best to think of this as wholly different amp. Slightly different tones and a quite different feel. Comparatively, it’s slightly more forgiving. As with the others in the Plexi series, this is unbeatable for users of those strange knobs and switches on your guitar.
We offer 5 versions of the Plexi50 Lead:
’67 = shared cathode, “bass” tonestack, soft filtering. Big and creamy.
’68 = split cathode, “lead” tonestack, soft filtering. Brown.
’69 = split cathode, “lead” tonestack, medium filtering. Still brown, but more firm.
’70 = split cathode, “lead” tonestack, heavy filtering. Crunchy, percussive.
’73 = split cathode, “lead” tonestack, heavy filtering. Bright, percussive, quick transition to breakup
