The Plexi20 HW is our answer to the numerous requests for a true turret board, handwired Plexi Lead circuit in lunchbox format – lower power, smaller size, wallet-friendlier unit.
The Plexi20 HW circuit is based on ‘68 Plexi preamp, with a 6V6GT fixed bias power section. The circuit is exact same, the only difference being the power tubes, and wattage.
On top of that, we have added many added features often requested as mods to our Plexi amps. This includes
– Post PI Master Volume
– Transparent Buffered Effects Loop
– Bright Switches (on both normal and treble channels!)
– Boost switch
– Fat switch (V2A cathode capacitor)
– Split/Shared V1 Cathode Switch
– 3 way Negative Feedback switch
Whether you are a hobbyist playing at home, or a touring professional, the amp will provide the classic performance of a 60s Plexi amp, with size/portability, and volume management in mind.
For the tinkerers, the turret board construction, and chassis mounted pots/sockets/switches, exactly like the vintage, the amp will be a treasure trove of modification possibilities!
Like other Ceriatone amps, we have labored carefully to select the finest components to suit the design, and the Plexi20 HW uses our specially designed, custom transformers for superior reliability, frequency response, and feel.
